US planes are huge, french planes are tiny!

It's always interesting seeing those old airframes lying around. You do it to all your planes! Corsairs, F-5, F102, Mirages!

Meanwhile I've completed my own version of the SEA camo for the F-102.

edit: uh oh, what happened to the tabs layer? Did I make it invisible or is that big white rectangle above the tabs, thus hiding them?

There was indeed something above the tabs hiding them. By the way, I'm still laughing at the text in that decal of yours on the right air intake.

edit: Here is the pdf. I adjusted the camo a bit.

Hopefully not a thread hijack...

Started a new thread on Recolors asking for test builders for a series of recolors I'm doing. Included are Bruno's Lockheed L188 and Gerry1966's Fokker F27, done with their blessings.

Also Hiroshi Tozawa's YS11, but have been unable to contact him for permission.

Now back to your regularly scheduled thread...

We're back on line. Big thanks to the site managers.

Unfortunately some posts and attachments are missing.
I will add them shortly... but I don't see the previous attachments. So I'll wait a bit longer.

design question

Hi all,

Glad we're back online, I have a design question for Bruno (or anybody else).

I've just finished recoloring Chaiwat's C-45 Expeditor and he usually designs his models to have transparent canopies, so there's a big hole where the paper windscreen is supposed to go. My first try was to import the flat wrap clear plastic pattern used on Beech 18 balsa plans, but it didn't look like it would fit right. My second try was with windscreen decals for solid resin models, but it was distorted and I realized the decal would conform to almost any shape while wet, so no luck there either.

Any ideas out there in papermodeler land?

Quick follow up, does anyone have a reasonably sharp image of the C-45/Beech 18 landing gear (main and tail) they can send? I'd like to add build options in my file and the images I've found online are too low resolution to scale down to 1:200, which is my intended release scale.

Thanks!
