I remember when I first saw this thread, I think the highest page was like 19 or so, now look at it!! It's grown to 109! It's all thanks to you, Bruno, we all appreciate all your fine work. Even if you can't do it every day, it's still blows my mind you can do it in such a short amount of time!

I'm surprised no one has asked how we exited from the VC10 ! There's a trap door in the pilots cabin that leads down into the front undercarriage stowage. XV107 was modded so they could open the front undercarriage doors without lowering the wheel.

I've often wondered how the various Loadmasters managed to account for the passengers that went missing during a routine flight. Of course they knew when, where, and how we exited, but I've often wondered how they fiddled their load manifests.

"Not" on the list, eh! Ah g'won, it ain't much more than a pipe with loooong wings, and they long since dropped off the secret list. A 1:300 SR71 could be interesting too, but I'd still rather have a Brit or a Nimrod.

Just two engines to go on the VC10 .... Compared to your 707, this fuselage looks huge, but I don't recall it being a wide bodied craft, or is it again the difference between a Standard and Super model?

Try to enjoy your work whilst you can mate. So many nowadays just can't get enough, if any. Of course to us retired folk, WORK is just another four lettered word to be avoided as much as possible.

Keep on snippin' ... Johnny.

Vicky ten all done ...

I suppose now I'll have to have a go at this re-colouring malarky, and see if I can make it a closer look-a-like to XV107. Can't be that hard, can it?

Keep on snippin' ... Johnny.

Will your recolor have tiny little figures "not" free-falling from it?

Funnily enough, I was severely tempted to open the Herkybird, Bev and Gussy's doors and implant some plastic mini-figures that I have, but none of them are in suitable poses. Mind you, at 1:300 scale, flat card figures would probably suffice.

Err! Cutting them out just might defeat me though.

Keep on snippin' ... Johnny.

I can't even build one of these at 1:300, much less make people!

Oh come on Mathew. Compared to these two in the same scale Vicky is ginormous ...

Mind you, I don't remember it being that big. Are you sure you've got the scale right on this one Bruno?

Johnny.

Wikipedia gives a length of 48.36 meters for the VC10. At 1/300 that means 16.1 cm in length for the model. Looks about right judging by the markings on your cutting board. Unless those are inches, which makes it more like 1/100.
