This is my recent model of MiG-29 samolot 9-13 voyska protivovozdushnoy oborony V-PVO.
Based almost entirely (with some heavy nose job) on Bruno's 1/100 MiG-29, upscaled to 1/48. Built on 350gsm (1mm thick approx) cardboard, hardened with two layers of clear resin coatings. Finished manually with acrylic paint. Missilles are 3D printed, with heat-formed clear canopy. Pardon me for the inaccuracies Last edited by adriaan watson jung; 05-03-2021 at 05:59 AM. Reason: typo, pardon me |

Gee, upscaled up very well Adrian! May you post pictures from the process? Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry I didn't save the Fulcrum progress photos.
But you may see in this 1/48 F-16i Sufa project, I used the very exact same technique. Still a scaled-up Bruno's addictive template by the way . Assembled with the same 1 mm thick brown cardboard, sanded carefully to get better shape and proportion, then coated with clear resin to get extra rigidity. Sanded lightly between layers. (Sometimes I use melamine lacquer instead of clear resin). Finished with spray paint |

I totally get it. When I started to look at paper models, my intention was to use them as templates for more solid types. The range of scale is, well, infinite. But I converted to paper and left my addiction to p1@$+1(. |
