Great to hear from you again Bruno! Hope you like what we're doing with your free models.

For those who have downloaded from the Sangley Point folder, the third seaplane file has a corrected serial number and cleaned up nacelles.

Same to you, of course.

I am overjoyed to see you back, in particular because you are one of the main reasons I visited Paper Modelers on a regular basis ... since you started this thread in 2013!

Gene K
Looking forward to your new creations, especially the F-89 series.

Almost... It's actually the MiG I-1 experimental plane based on the MiG-19 (if I'm not mistaking).
In a previous picture you might have recognized the I-3U experimental interceptor as well.

Really they are very similar Bruno, the Soviet designers as opposed to the Western ones, for every little modification a new plane was built, if we think about the MiG-21 development prototypes (which you designed models of practically everything) this is very clear.

As I recall Mig-19 was one platform that MIG experimented with almost indefinitely. Not sure why this one in particular but it was used as test bed for great many ideas and many more stayed on drawing boards.

One of more outlandish was a modern version of CAM catapult from WW2. Another much more practical idea lead to Mig-21.
