Nice one Gerry. I didn't think model that simplified can be so representative of the type. Very cool.

Thanks for the Mi-17 Czech Air Force, I wonder when the recolor Mi-8/17 in the Polish Air force painting will be created, because when it comes to colors, a lot could be done

Mi-2,4,8 and 24 were flown in so many countries I'm sure even Wikipedia page doesn't list them all. Of those only Mi-4 wasn't as popular,I'm not sure why.Possibly it could have been cost of operation, rather high with piston powered helis especially (relatively) large ones like Mi-4.

As Rata wrote when I entered the Mi-8 Polish Air Force, there is an overview of the camouflage on which the Hipy flew in the Polish Air Force and Aviation of land forces as well as in the Police Aviation, I will add this variant of the painting, because I miss it in my series of the 36th Special Transport Aviation Regiment, and regarding what Karol wrote, this is how the Mi-4 flew in few countries, it was also the same with the Mi-6 and Mi-10, Mi-6

Don Boose and myself have each had our own technical difficulties in the preparation of our latest USN Between The Wars thread project, so in the meantime I had a bit of a fiddle with Bruno's 1/300 Mil Mi-8 'Hip' that he was kind enough to recently share on here.
This is a 1/100 version of his creation: a Czech AF Mil Mi-17 'Hip H' in 1/100 scale.
Some re-drawing was in order to make it more '1/100 friendly', but here it is built. Model has been submitted to Downloads and I'm sure one of the lovely Mods will inform us in due course of it's approval. Thanks for looking.
Very nice build my friend!

Hi guys,
nice to see the conversation on the helicopters going on.
The Mi-4 was on my drawing board, but then I got sidetracked by some American models.
Perhaps this was due to the Mi-4 being one of the less "pretty" helicopters.
Anyway, after a tiring week at work, I finished my latest design. I seem to be designing more rapidly than I'm able to convert or correct previous designs. Perhaps time to do a "half Cuban eight" and go back to some earlier models to get them released.
