A fine set of DB-7s, Karol. A Huddle of Havocs? A Bunch of Bostons? An Accumulation of A-20s? A Pile of P-70s?

There will be French DB-7 and P-70 as soon as I can print them.

Don-if you can find some info on colors of A-20 in Hawaii in Dec 41 then there will be one of those too.

Karol - I'm a little distracted just now with Lil in the hospital and research underway for the next Gillard/Boose USN/USMC Interwar Aviation History Project, but here is some preliminary info.

I believe the only unit in Hawaii that flew A-20s on 7 December 1941 was the 58th Bombardment Squadron (Light) based at Hickam Field. The unit was redesignated as the 531st Fighter-Bomber Squadron on 19 October 1942.

Here is an image of an A-20 of the 58th BS(L) over Oahu on 29 May 1941. It was probably in the same scheme on 7 December 1941. The source is the NMUSAF A-20 Fact Sheet.

Dana Bell reproduces this same image on page 78 of his book and identifies the colors as Medium Green [presumably the darker color and Shade 42] and faded Olive Drab [Shade 41, presumably]. I imagine the underside color would have been Neutral Gray 43.

Sources:

A-20 Fact Sheet, National Museum of the USAF, available at Douglas A-20 Havoc

531st Tactical Fighter Squadron Fact Sheet, Air Force Historical Research Agency. U.S. Air Force. Maxwell AFB, AL.

Leatrice R. Arakaki and John R. Kuborn 7 December 1941: The Air Force Story, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii : Pacific Air Forces Office of History, 1991.

Dana Bell, Air Force Colors Vol. I 1926-1942, Carrollton, TX: Squadron Signal, 1979.

More later when I have a chance to do more digging.

Don

hello how are you?, I just uploaded to the download section the plans of a B722 of the now defunct Venezuelan airline Servivensa.Anyway i will upload the file here so that they have it here in advance while the moderators approve my recolor take as a base the S&P B727 with the nose modification of the PSA found here in scale 1/300.

I uploaded three variants of the same B722 here and only one in the download section

It should be noted that this aircraft was later converted to super 27.

I used the few hours after work this week to build and document the SH-3 Sea King build. I'll have to redo a few pictures since there was a problem with the nose.
Here are the pictures:

first scoring the parts. Especially the tabs to connect the fuselage (and sponsoons) to their bottom part. Note also that some parts should be glued to light cardboard. I used a packaging of cookies since it was rather thin.
