I never heard of Blake & Mortimer series of comics. Lots of interesting planes pop up on search, especially Golden Comet/Rocket. I noticed all of them are straight winged designs. This is from time before Mig-15/F-86 etc with swept wings. Interesting. Thanks Bruno.

The bad guy in these comics, Kolonel Olrik has a flying wing airplane called the Red Wing. Which in the period of its release (1946 to 1949) was indeed rather futuristic.

Thanks B-man!
Tintin was fairly well known here in Australia. My sons grew up on Hergé's books (I used to read to them every night before bed) and the full set has pride of place on the bookshelf. I wish Blake and Mortimer was as widely available as I'm sure my boys and myself would have gotten hooked on those as well. The artwork and story lines are equally as good as Hergé.

I think I need to do some color schemes of my models. Did a quick count and found all the models that still need extra liveries. 64 to go in the most recent models. I think I will be busy for a few days (weeks?)
(oops, the numbers on the list messed up. so do not use as a reference )
