Here is as promised the newest model: the Il-18 in Aeroflot (CCCP) livery.
not 100% satisfied about the nose but I'm not considering plastic surgery. Oops wrong subject.

Hope you like it.

Café,
for the wing box, see the previous mail on the A330 model. the same applies here. As for the dihedral, these models require a little "sculpting" since they do not use formers (and they are not perfect either)

All these Soviet planes are great, but are there going to be more A330/340 recolors? Now that I've got that wing box down, I'm anxious to build more!!

I just noticed that the last model was the 300th model I put on the site. (including the white models, but excluding the ones that were corrected afterwards)

time for a little celebration. Yeehaa

That's AWESOME!! Also I'm pretty sure that you have the longest thread on paper modelers!

I wish I had seen that post before. And yes, I did some "sculpting"... and just removed the left wing to try anothe way. The first try on the horizontal stabilisators prior to adding the vertical fin had a certain Fouga look.

Are you planning on making the Il-20/22 and Il-38 derivatives of the Il-18?

And yay celebration! 300 models and more than 200 pages and 2000 comments!

The length of nose seems to be correct.
What about angle of pilot windows?
But no matter .....after all, this is the plane I've been waiting for.
Another add to my Czech collection..... and what's more, the plane my father was sometimes travelling with.

As I said, there was something strange with the nose. Now I look at my measurements, and there is a problem in the third and forth piece. I'll have to do those again. I'm sorry. I think I need a little break. I want to go too fast and start making too many mistakes.
