Another model to be added to the pile: the Douglass C-133 Globemaster.
I did an experiment with the "shoulder" part of the wings. it seems to work rather well.

hope you like it.
The Box The C-130 Came In! Thank You very much! One more I can take off my own design list.

[QUOTE=Lrjanzen; Not to hijack a thread, but does anyone know of a model of an airport terminal one might use for a diorama of these excellent models? Feel free to redirect if needed.[/QUOTE]

Well there is the model of the old terminal at Schiphol, built in 1928. That might work for anything with propellors on it. It is about 1:300. The model is reviewed here: Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

But the old link no longer works. Thanks to Rick Steffens, who provided me with the current link, on the website of the Dutch architecture firm that did the recent restoration. You go to the 7th panel, and then click on the numbered "bouwplaat" links at the bottom right. (Bouwplaat means contruction sheet in Dutch):Schiphol 1928 - noorderlicht archiktekten

NB - this is part of the air museum Aviodrome, which went bankrupt a couple of years ago, and apparently has now been rescued by a big investor. Can a Dutch colleague confirm that it is still open for business?

Other models of airports at 1:300 - that are more modern, anyone?

Another L-188 Electra is ready ... this time it is Eastern Airways, but the older version than Bruno's one. (from the end of 50's - beginning of 60's).
Another will follow .... :-)

I think it is still part of the Aviodrome: Schipholgebouw 1928 - Aviodrome - Luchtvaart themapark

Hi Lrjanzen,

I did a little bit of research and found a set of boarding bridges (for free) in scale 1/200. Here is the link: Model Airport Jetways | Airport Diorama Designs

I did not try them myself.
The rest of the models are for sale on this site.

I did however not find any good plans of airport terminals and bridges myself. otherwise I might even have tried something.

Bruno

I found this link. Looks promising. I know Bruno will not be interested since it is about A/C on the ground ;-)

EDIT: Sorry same as above. My bad.

Here is my model for today. Since I did not have a lot of time to work on it, I did not build it (yet). How surprising.

anyone want to give it a try?

It is the Douglas DC-5 of which only a small number were built.
