Well, as I've promised today, first Australian Electra is ready. It's Trans Australia Airlines livery from the beginning of 60's. Enjoy!

And another miniature marvel ...

Still didn't get the Globemaster finished, but it has gained it's second wheel pod and two (of 8) air-flap rails. Still no engines though, but I'm getting there.

Keep on snippin' ... Johnny.

Hi,
took a little break. Came back on the thread to notice that the number of views per day drastically diminishes.

So I started working on a new model. It is almost finished: the Boeing C-97 Stratofreighter. Ok, it is not very original but I wanted to do it myself as well.

Here is a peek at the actual status of the model. When I'm sure it's ok, I'll post it.

just a little patience, please.

Bruno

C-97 looking good Bruno. It'll be interesting to see how you tackle that figure of eight cross section ... not by ignoring it I hope.

I just had a zoom in on it...double hull, similar to Nimrod.

Johnny.

Yes indeed a double hull, with the lower one only partly made and attached to the top one.

Here is the model (in two approximate liveries, not based on real aircraft. One with the orange parts and one without).
The small problems that occured during the test build and that can be seen on the pictures, should be ironed out (if all goes well)

Bruno,
Thank You!! and I was going to PM you about a white one for repaints, LOL! I am in the process of doing a handful of repaints on the larger scaled OPB one.

Hi Jeff,

Be my guest to recolor. Takes some weight of my shoulders.
Do you also want a "white" version of the C-97 or will the other models do?

(remember that there is a tutorial on how to recolor these models in Inkscape. The PDFs I post are vectorized when you import them in that program.)

Bruno
