Nice insect collection

(Catching up on correspondence) - It is never too late, with some minor surgery, I could install the cross pieces ("thwarts"?) in the 380, going in where the wing root pod covers everything. The process was a success and the A380 is now more oval in X-section. Thanks

More on the subject of display. I had a challenge after building an example of each Boeing model, and each Douglas Commercial-MD model, plus about 15 other airliners. Small though they are, they do pile up. The first solution was to fill a couple of over-the-door blank spots with the Boeings and the DCs mounted like insects on pins. Herer are the DC-3 through DC-10. Plus a flat DC-2 in 1:300 borrowed from a model of the Schiphol air terminal.

And here are the Boeing jets. Crowded in a bit to fit, 707 through 787. (Had to leave out the 307 and the 377)

And that left 15 other random British, French, Russian and US airliners. I started playing with the idea of a mobile, using the dining room light fixture as an armature. I have a very tolerant wife - we even had an office party with this as the centerpiece. I enjoy the reflection of the shadows from the glass surface of the table.

But they were a bit crowded and the risk of the cat finding them was high. I made a frame out of two clear plastic wands for levolor blinds ($1.50 @ at Home Depot) and hung them in my office/spare bedroom. Higher now, and not as close up, but fun to have overhead.

Today I finally had a chance to finish a model I started way back when you guys were doing the airliner series. It is my 2nd S&P model. I still struggle with the tiny scale

It doesn't look like you struggled at all. Looks very nice.
