Thanks everyone.
I stopped struggling for today with a complicated camo scheme for my next model. The rest will come tomorrow morning.

So here is the next model. (As you might have noticed, I'm on vacation this week )
Nr 738 Loire-Nieuport LN.411
It is a French dive bomber that suffered a great deal during the battle of France in 1940. They were too few to make a difference in stopping the German advance anyway.

As usual some pictures of the test build. As you can see, the camouflage pattern is not easy to design. Fitting problems at the wings have been corrected and hopefully completely avoided. The landing gear is rather complex and has been designed in this model with 9 pieces.

Bruno was this French bomber one of the type that was considered for the French carrier Bearn?

Paper models of French designs of that era are so rare. Thanks Bruno.

Here is today's model:
Nr 739 Boeing F4B-4 in an non-existing 4 squadron color scheme. (My daughter chose the colors).
Afterwards I've been looking for correct info on the existing liveries of the US Navy. Then I started developing a few sets of complete squadrons. Until now I found and designed:
Nr 740 F4B-4 of 2 squadron on CV-2 USS Lexington
Nr 741 FB4-4 of 6 squadron on CV-3 USS Saratoga
Nr 742 F4B-4 of 3 squadron on CV-4 Ranger
Nr 743 F4B-4 of 1 squadron on CV-5 Yorktown.

I don't suppose anyone would be so crazy to build a complete squadron, but you never know. after all we are paper builders.

Don't be surprised. I toy with the idea of doing one of the early US carriers in 200 scale and then load the deck with a full air wing! Here is a dream do that for a pre-war wing, one for 1942, one for 1945. Then move on to a Korean War flight deck, Then do one for the early 60's (Cuban Missle Crisis Nuke E would be cool!) then a Vienam one from around 1972, Finish off with a 1990 Air wing (have to get the Tomcats in). Hmmm I do have a basement....

I'm a little surprised. I wouldn't have the patience of building 18 planes of the same type in a row. I admire your endurance.
Anyway 18 planes for 1USD is a bargain .
