A Spitfire Vb from a little-known middle-eastern operator in... 1946-47?. It just came back from dropping leaflets over the camp of the rebels.

Yes, it certainly is a nice collection of planes. You've done well. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Always nice to see some comic strip planes being modeled.
Are these from the sheikh Bab El Eir.

Hergé used Brussels dialect words for foreign names. Khemed (written differently but pronounced as such) means "I have it". Bab El Eir is a call someone who is very talkative.

Thank you Bruno.

No, he hasn't owerthrown Emir Mohammed Ben Kalish Ezab yet. This plane is from "Tintin au pays de l'or noir", Bab el Ehr succeeded in overthrowing the emir (temporarily) in "Coke en Stock". The rebellion may have finally prevailed since the Khemedi Air Force Fishbeds sport the same roundels as the mosquitoes from "Coke en Stock".

Yeah, Hergé loved puns.

I love your collection, Buschlaid. It's inspiration for me to add to my much smaller fleet!
