Ah, the Ye-2... Now you need the Ye-4! Same as Ye-2 but with a pure delta wing. First version: 1 fence under each wing, then modified with 3 fences above each (now clipped) wing.

That is indeed a rather strange place to put a wing fence, but there was probably a good reason.

I changed your camo to a Polish aircraft using the Eduard 1/48 plastic kit as a guide. Attached are my interim steps in scaling it up to 1/32 to make a foam Radio Control model.

Please note that I threw together the paper models very fast (and incomplete) as I intended to only use them to check the camo match between parts. I'll do a "regular" paper model when camo is finalized.

Again - thanks for the fine model!

I almost forgot: looking very nice. camo seems to fit.
What these little models can become with some creativity
for the radio control model, will you be using a prop?

I've actually prepared and printed scale test sheets so I know what scale the printer is going to apply at each multi-sheet setting (i.e. 2-per, 4-per, 6-per, 9-per, etc) and I factor that in when calculating what percent to print at when I want to end up at a specific scale.

Once you've printed the scale test sheet for each setting and measured it to calculate the resulting scale, the formula above changes a little bit:

<existing scale> / ( <desired scale> * <per-sheet scale> )

e.g. if I wanted 1/500 and I have 1/100, and my printer scales at 60% for 2-sheet-per-page, I would do

100 / ( 500 * .6) == .3, or 30%

Or at 4-sheet, which is about 45% scaling:

100 / ( 500 * .45) == .44 or 44%

Of course, this requires that your PDF viewer or printer support printing at a certain scale at the same time as printing multi-sheet per page, something the latest Adobe Reader doesn't, so I have to tell Adobe to print at the calculated scale, then go into the printer settings to tell it to do multi-sheet.
im a snob: i have illustrater and know roughly where my print edges are id just use that

That's a very nice line-up! Which of the 3 Ye-50 are you doing? The Ye-50/3 had a lengthend nose and some changes to the tail.

Thanks, Carlos.
it is actually the Ye-50/3. It's the only plans I found.
Here some pictures of the test build.

It's actually closer to the Ye-50/1 in early config.

Here are 2 3-views of the Ye-50A of which only one was apparently completed (did it ever fly?). Two others were in the assembly jigs when the program was cancelled due to the unavailabilty of the R11E-300 engine at the time and complications in the use of the rocket booster. Had it entered service, the Ye-50A would have been named MiG-23U (the production version of the Ye-2A was to be called MiG-23).

Dassault

That Dassault is very pretty! I built one or two in plastic back in the day. A very clean design. Bravo!

Wow, you really have all the info available.
Given these drawings I start to believe it was the Ye-50/1 I built. The tail seems to correspond.

Anyway I changed the subject a little...
revisited a model I did years ago but improved it and added landing gear and details.

Hope you like it.
