Hello Here Again
I just wanted to share my new three personal recolored 1/300 scale F/A-18C Hornets, which all bears the markings of US Navy's VFA-81 "Sunliners" during Operation Desert Storm as part of its 30th Anniversary, which were flown by late LCDR. M. Scott Speicher, who became the first Coalition casualty after he was taken down by an Iraqi MiG-25, and the "MiG-21 Killers" flown by LCDR. Mark I. Fox and Lt. Nicholas Mongillo.
*I Used Cafe's F/A-18A with the markings of VMFA-333 as the base template and the F/A-18C with the markings of VFC-12 for the pilot's walk way on the wing roots. I made a new recolor on the whole body of the plane, by replacing it with light and dark "ghost greys" that I applied on my 1980s scheme F-15A-Ds, as well as new stencils, and kinda have to make a new tracing of the letter A since it was slightly resembles the number 8 for the "VFA" and "USS SARATOGA" wordmark.
Here's the recolored templates of the "Sunliners" Desert Storm Hornets, hope you like it and lemme know if there's any inconsistencies in it
