A few years ago I made a few F-16XL what-ifs and forgot to post them here. I just added them to the download section. Two downloads and 7 files that can be divided into 3 groups :
- belgian F-16 XL/A & XL/B block 20 MLU (ah! forgot the bird slicers on the single seaters, I'll have to correct that)
- US F-16 XL/A & XL/B block 20 MLU, XL/C and XL/D block 52 from the 416FLTS
- fat spine XL/I block 52 (Israel), XL/I & XL/D block 50 Advanced (416 FLTS)

This is my recent model of MiG-29 samolot 9-13 voyska protivovozdushnoy oborony V-PVO.

Based almost entirely (with some heavy nose job) on Bruno's 1/100 MiG-29, upscaled to 1/48. Built on 350gsm (1mm thick approx) cardboard, hardened with two layers of clear resin coatings.
Finished manually with acrylic paint.

Missilles are 3D printed, with heat-formed clear canopy.

Pardon me for the inaccuracies

I'm sorry I didn't save the Fulcrum progress photos.

But you may see in this 1/48 F-16i Sufa project, I used the very exact same technique. Still a scaled-up Bruno's addictive template by the way .

Assembled with the same 1 mm thick brown cardboard, sanded carefully to get better shape and proportion, then coated with clear resin to get extra rigidity. Sanded lightly between layers.
(Sometimes I use melamine lacquer instead of clear resin).

Finished with spray paint

Thank you for sharing.

I totally get it.
When I started to look at paper models, my intention was to use them as templates for more solid types. The range of scale is, well, infinite.

But I converted to paper and left my addiction to p1@$+1(.
