flyable p-51 scratch build

a scratch build p-51 mustang that I made for flight capability. it was hand drawn and painted, then scanned by my printer so the possibility of making more is possible. its outdoor performance is outstanding, being easily capable to fly a distance longer then my own house on a vertical launch.

Awesome! I made a large scale FG 109 once and weighted it so it would "fly" on a tether. But free flight is even better. Great work!

Very cool! How does your Mustang's flight performance compare with the Tomcat you're flying? Also, what scale are these?

the mustang was hand drawn at some random scale that I thought would be suitable for flight. and the tomcat model didn't specify what scale it was. from flights, I can tell you the tomcat is superior overall in level gliding . but outside (especially with wind), the mustang could easily match the tomcats flying distance.
