All the wheels for the Mig-15 ( 5 sets ) are resin plastic. I will paint them. Isaac

I hear you. I had the same issues in the past. Now, I'm very careful and usually do not work on the model until 30 minutes pass after applying this glue ( sometimes it does not cure fast ). Also, I use it on structural parts and wheel attachments only. Isaac

Nose section
The nose section is a bit tricky only in order of assembly. The fuselage sections are all circular cross section.
The only thing regarding accuracy is that the extreme nose section part ( the inlet ) needed to be split into another more rounded section ( this was done in the next version ( the Mig-15bis kit ). Assembly Assemble the two forward fuselage sections first. Then glue the inner linings. my only suggestion is to trim the aft side a bit so it can be glued to the tabs when attached to section 3. The intake splitter is then assembled and the nose gear bay is attached to the intake frame ( to be located at the forward end of section 3 ). The splitter is glued onto the frame and straddles the nose gear bay. I then added some weight ( to prevent the model from tail sitting ). I needed to do allot of trial fitting and rounding to make sure it would be attached correctly and mate with the inner lining. I then inserted wood sticks to keep the nose gear bay spread and properly aligned with the fuselage sections. Isaac

Nice clean build on this first MiG. Photo documentation is great, too.

Cockpit
The cockpit is relatively simple design and limited detail.
Assemble that first. Then fit it to the fuselage section 3 . The seat and other details will go later Isaac

Great work, Isaac! These aircraft are an interesting subject and I look forward to see them all come together in this marathon.
Thank you for the tip on using the sticks to keep the parts aligned. Jeff |

Fuselage halves joined
At this point, I joined the forward and aft sections. I used very low tack Tamiya tape to keep them together and then remove after 10 minutes. Works for me.
The two wood sticks will be used later for wing supports. Isaac
