I am somewhat frustrated with the paper they used, the shiny finish and inaccuracies.

You make a great airframe but I am not convinced. I very much doubt it is that easy even if you make it look like that. Nicely done, Sir.

Isaac,

The parts look like they fit well, and there is some detailing. As Mike1158 said, you make it look easy. Too bad about the paper that was used for the kit.

Exclamation Cockpit

The kit provides minimal detail on the interior and is not very impressive in its accuracy ( or lack of ).

here are the parts
Mig-15 marathon-img_4469.jpg

The opening for the cockpit looks much wider than scale ( I would say by at least 25%. That will be addressed later!

insert the tub and glue in place.

add the dashboard

here are the parts for the rest of the details and the seat.

the seat is done

more inner details.

The width of the opening is apparent here.
this is how wide it should have been :

Apart from the cockpit opening, it's a nice looking model.

Exclamation vertical fin

The one stand out feature that the Mig jets have is a beautiful vertical fins. The Mig-15 has a large swept back fin ( inspired from the German TA-183 jet ).

Here is the structural component of the fin

Mig-15 marathon-img_4494.jpg

the fin is a one piece wrap bent in the middle
Mig-15 marathon-img_4495.jpgMig-15 marathon-img_4496.jpg

here are the parts. Notice there is a fillet to be glued to the base of the fin
Mig-15 marathon-img_4497.jpg

Tail is on.
Mig-15 marathon-img_4498.jpgMig-15 marathon-img_4499.jpg

Note
There is a small overlap of the fillet to the red demarcation in the rear ( the demarcation of the red on top and the blue will show up again later ).

Exclamation Horizontal fins

The horizontal fins are located in a cruciform manner ( not a low tail and not a T tail ).

Here are the parts.
Mig-15 marathon-img_4503.jpg

note that I notched the frames to accept a small wood dowel for support.

Here is the wood dowel
Mig-15 marathon-img_4504.jpg

structure is glued on. Dowel is covered with paper to the spars.
Mig-15 marathon-img_4505.jpg

Horizontal tail is on.
Mig-15 marathon-img_4510.jpgMig-15 marathon-img_4509.jpg

Notice of another error :
There are no fillets/fairing that are provided at the junction of the going aft to the rear cone as in the real plane. Not sure why not as there are so many other details provided. Did the designer forget? Am I missing those parts? In any case this is minor
