I've seen videos of Russian aerobatic teams flying red topped Mig-15 and Mig-19 but never did see Mig-17 or 21 on film used for that purpose. I have to look into it a bit.
The answer is Yes! Both Mig 17 and Mig 21 were painted red at various demonstration teams in the USSR.
