Ah, that sounds like an interesting approach. Thanks for sharing! I want to be sure I fully understand:
  1. Print out two copies of model
  2. Cut same piece from both prints, one with, the other without tabs.
  3. Glue piece without tabs on top of piece with tabs (presumably using your regular modelling glue).
  4. Let dry, then form and glue piece to rest of model.

Did I get that right? I will have to try this out on my next build.
I hope you're printing one colored copy and one white copy. There's no point wasting ink on a second copy that will just get glued behind the other.

I'll be trying this technique myself. Thanks guys.

To save paper..i just print once on 160 gsm..i cut the tabs using greater length..and glue them under forseen edge..this achieve the same result once parts are assembled

dcoquelet, with respect, I think you have missed the point of laminating two 80 gsm sheets
instead of using 160 gsm sheets. When the two sheets are glued together, they form a
very controllable template. You can curl, bend, etc the part to shape easier than doing it
with 160 gsm paper. Perhaps, give it a try and you'll see the difference.

Anyone built Bruno's 100 scale D3A2 Val? The landing gear nacelles have me baffled how they go together.

I've been thinking about buying it, but I have not done so yet.

Maybe if you could take a screenshot of just those parts I could help.

Thanks Bruno!
But then how do they attach to the A/C? I assume the circled parts are the struts.I ASSUME they fold along the long axis. Beyond that it is a bit confusing.

BTW Mathew. I highly recommend Bruno's 100 scale models. Dispute what it may seem, they are pretty simple to put together once you get used to his system. I have done the Zero and the Kate.

Do you have pictures?

I'm thinking about buying the Wildcat, Hellcat, Avenger, Dauntless, Kate, Zero, and Val.
