I think your picture is slanted a little, to me and looking at profiles and pics I believe the Tail needs to move forward and the stabs are located in the proper place................ It looks to me that tail is closer to the door than what Julius designed............ these are 200ER pics
I could be wrong............. |

Looking at a profile...... yeah I know it's somebodies drawing.......... the tail needs to move forward and the stabs need to move rearward.........
What file types can you read and I'll send you a modded tail to look at |

If we move the V-fin forward, wouldn't it mean having to re-position all the windows and doors too? Anyway, perhaps your modded tail may clear up things for me. I can read .ai , .eps, .cdr or .pdf as well as a few others. Thanks! edit:oh, I see you've already sent the file. Thanks again John, I'll have a look. Last edited by theyRme; 10-20-2014 at 12:16 AM. Alright John, I made a comparison with the original file and yours and your mods seem about right. Just the V-fin slightly forward and the hor-stabs moved back, am I right?
Forget the fuss about the rear doors and windows, I was confused. :P I guess, I will be following your example then. Part of the reason I've never finished any 777 recolors is because I was never satisfied with how the rear looked. Hopefully this will fix it. Thanks a lot John! Cheers, Miguel |

Yeah all I did was move the tail forward and the stabs back.........do a test build if you don't mid and make sure the stabs aren't too low on the fuselage..........I'll double check myself too.

Looking at the first file I believe the stabs are too low on the fuselage........... so I drew a line bisecting the stabs in the original location and then move the farther back stabs to that line so they are now on the same plane as the originals.............
sorry about that........ but I do think these are now located in the correct place........ john |

yeah, noticed that too. This is how I'll move mine - drew a line bisecting the original and another line perpendicular to where your mods were located. The intersection of the two lines is where I will move them.
Attached a snapshot below. Yellow lines represent the original template overlayed over your mods. The intersections of the two crosses are where the tips of the fins would be moved to. I'll do some test builds later, I just have to go out for a bit. Thanks again John! |
