1/100 scale is the new black
Hello,
I have started building in 1/100 scale and have been enjoying it. I have been recolouring and building planes by Nobi, Bruno and Aaron. Here are Nobi's Hellcat, Aaron's Betty and Bruno's Jill. I have just started a mod and recolour of Bruno's Tigercat to the F7F-3N. Brent |

Nice little models
1:100 is quite a nice scale to build in. The planes don't take up too much room Tim |

Excellent builds. At this stage of construction, the Tigercat somewhat resembles a U-2 with oversized engines.
Not sue if I can build at 1/100 scale, but I am certainly enjoying seeing all these great builds by you and others. Roman Vasyliev (Kampfflieger) has also produced a number of excellent 1/100 models. http://www.kampfflieger.com/ Don |

You would be surprised, Don, how easy it can be to build these models. The smaller scale requires some simplifications in the design, inducing less complicated and small parts, yet a very realistic result. It even allows for quick builds
Brent, I couldn't agree more when you say that "1/100 scale is the new black". It's the perfect balance between facility, realism and storage space. Soon I'll be going back to that scale having done almost 600 (free) models in 1/300 scale. Even if that means that I'll have to disappoint a lot of builders. Bruno |

Beautiful job on all, Brent. I've built only a few fighters in 1/100. Your's are superb.
