Load out research
While working the canopy, I started a quick research as to what externals do I want on this model.
I am leaning toward conventional gravity bombs ( M117 and Mk-82 ) types. examples here: I'll probably build a few configurations before I decide what to attach. Isaac

I cut the rear of the plaster mold to reduce the size. That helped. However, still getting folds and creases. Experimanting now. Also I'm using plastic sheets of 0.010 Pics soon Isaac

The plastic sheet has sagged so much that I had to pull it out of the oven. May have been too warm?
This entire process is an art form that I have not mastered. It takes me sometimes 5-10 tries to get one canopy. Expensive deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isaac

canopy- part 1
here are the canopy parts.
Assembled. I printed a second set for this purpose. The better one will be used for the frames over the vacuformed canopy. and general fit to the model This will serve as the basis for making a plaster molds. So this is not the actual canopy parts to be used. Isaac

making the mold
Now its time to make the mold.
I used the canopy itself with internal sections to form it. Next is the Plaster of Paris Pour into the mold, add the wood base Now its dry. Remove the paper Here is the outcome. Not happy, needs repairs I used Bondo and then sand to shape. Ready for the next step ( Vacuforming ) Isaac
