1/50 SNCASO Vautour 2A
Hello ladies and gents, fellow papermodelers!
So, here's another new year holiday, and i guess it's ime for another inwald model! since i'm in university now, the holiday is slightly longer, until early march (uh.. that's a lot i admit) and thus i had a lot of time to work on this project About the model The model is from Inwald cardmodel, originally released in IAF livery at 1/33, but i repainted it back to France air force silver livery and rescaled it to 1/50. The repaint process is quite tedious as the original is in .JPG format so i had to trace every parts, panel lines and rivets at inkscape then printed them on silver paper. Interior parts like cockpit, bomb and gear bays, which had painted surface, are printer in regular 120 gsm paper. I'm planning to use decals for roundels and several markings that can't be printed at silver paper and here's the progress photo, lot of formers in fuselage mid section... but i didn't photo them And i'm looking for references on this plane, particularly cockpit shot and horizontal stabilizer. it's hard to find references of V2A on the 'net, since only few of them are actually built. out of 146 pre and production plane built, only 30 of them are A variant, and from that number only 13 are French (airframe no.1-11 and 29-30) so any help on reference are very appreciated!

Fuselage is nice and clean, and the cockipt is coming along nicely.
Raja, did you spray anything on the silver cardstock prior to cutting? Thanks, Gary

I myself admire 1/33 models (and am really impressed by your superb models, Isaac), but like to build in 1/50 or 1/48, so I am happy to see this project, including the rescaling.
It looks like all your work is paying off in a fine model, Raja Ahsani. Don |

Thanks Isaac, Don, Gary
So... cockpit tub continues Along with front section skin, i painted the dash with Rotring ink then scrub the edges, it gives nice worn out metal looks And so you can see i decided to settle with airframe no. 4, operating with CIB 328, 92eme Brigade de bombardement at Bordeaux-Merignac Ca.1964
