Well done model and nicely not-overdone weathering.

Some detail retrospective
Many thanks gentlemen!
Schematics of I-16 construction i found today, with interesting plywood fuselage structure diagram But what really matter is the gear well diagram on the bottom-center The well is plain sheet metal with a reinforcing groove and a kidney shaped hole for LG actuator wire Now looking back to the kit original LG wells they have some kind of corrugated metal look on it So i did a litle modification to make it more realistic Before After Another problem is cowling intake, the kit part is simple rectangular shaped and rather large, but in reality it should be T-shaped and smaller in size, look at the diagram below And here Compare to the original part I'll get this fixed today, as well as adding gun barrels to cowling gun ports By far these are the prominent detail error i found, i'm still studying more photos and diagrams to spot any other errors

Very close gentlemen!
And thanks a lot for the nice words
I got lots of things done lately, and lots of new photos! Wheels, made from 2 ply of 1 mm cardboard, cut and sanded to shape then painted and glossed Cowling intake revision and gun barrel muzzles Landing gears, the main load bearing struts (the biggest ones which directly hold the wheels) have paperclip core, while the others have pencil lead core. The main struts alone are capable of holding the plane on its own Tail skid and tail light The propeller... ..And, the overall photo Just need the windscreen and gunsight and it's finally done

Finished!
I finally finished the windshield today, bit fiddly at this scale, but still manageable. I also added the landing gear actuator wire and dried mud effect on landing gear struts and wheels and tail skid
And with those parts completed the model is finally finished! it took exactly three months to complete (May 1st - August 1st) but overal working time is lot less due to semester final (and my laziness) Finished model: Thanks for following gentlemen and see ya on the next project!
