Building Yoavs Kfir
Hey folks,
as I finished my SHADO Interceptor today I thought it is time to build the wonderful Kfir from Yoav Hozmi. New for me will definitely be the celar canopy where I need a mould. (Should not be a real problem as I have all materials in my workshop - Doing R/C Model Jets usually ) So... Here are some pics from the start... The Sheets and the first formers glued to cardboard and some cockpit prts cut out. I am very looking forward to this build as the graphics Yoav did are superb and this is my first bigger airplane model. Take a seat to watch if you want and wish me luck

Chris
Should be a fun project. Are you planing to build it in flying or on the ground? Isaac

Isaac,
as this model does not have any gear provided I will do an in-flight Display maybe as Yoav does it on a smartphone stand or so. Only the attachment will be done with magnets so no holes will be in the model and it can be deattached for transport. I could not keep my fingers still, so i cut out the first cockpit parts and colored the edges. As I want to look the aircraft as realistic as possible i tried to fabricate a see-through HUD. Hope this works out as planned.

A see-through HUD will certainly add more interest to the model. Am anxious to see how it turns out.

None of Yoav's models have landing gears. However , some of us made mods that included adding the gears and bays as well as external loads. I have not built this one, so I can't offer suggestions. Either way, they are all winners. Isaac

Well I think I will go for the flying display. I normally use stands (for my plastic models too) with magnets so I can change displays
The formers are cut out and I will start glueing soon. Just cleaned my workspace a bit and my "Me-Room" Was a real mess. I think my room needs some extra love the next days, I am switching from plastic modelling to papermodelling temporarily so I can gain some extra space for models since I put the plastic kits in the basement And no... No pics of the mess
