Oh, wow! Even though is 1/72, the model seems to have many good details.

Thumbs up

Awesome dude. You are doing a very clean and crisp build here. She's a beautiful aircraft, and you are doing her full justice thus far

Thanks!! Yeah, it's a very cool model for 1:72 scale. There's some details that are pretty hard at that scale though. The canopy and inlets, for instance.

Here's an update. I've installed the wing and the underside of the fuselage where the engines are mounted. Then I worked on the canopy.

More progress. Worked on the exhausts and nose cone.

Final pics for the night, of where I left off. Tomorrow, I'll start on the other details, the chin gun, pylons, landing gear, and other details.

Very nice Phantom!
The models from this website are not very easy to build, it's great to see you succeed . (I once tried the F-101, well I failed )

Regards,
Ronan

Thank you!

yeah, it is challenging! I try to keep it clean as possible, but I've failed in certain spots. I'd like to make a few more, because It was my first time through that particular design, I'm a noob. I emailed for the F-101 and F-105 designs too, so I've got those to build as well. Great model so far, being at 1/72 scale.

Just requested F4 template by email, got quick reply with a file of 4 different F4s, was only expecting what I had requested. Very detailed parts. Will have to be uber careful building, I see from this thread that they are not easy - well, I like a challenge .

Awesome! Yes, the gentleman replied quickly to me as well! I ordered the F-4s, the F-101 and F-100, F-105, and a few others.

I am enjoying tracking this build. Many thanks for the step-by-step images and explanations.

The in-flight images of the nearly-completed model are excellent.
