It is a very modified P-63 Kingcobra which joins the museum today. 1:100 model, reduced to 1:200, available on Ecardmodels.

Amazing work yet again Jan.

It's pilot, Major Charles Tucker, cut an astonishing 12.6 feet off the wingspan for the 1946 Thompson Trophy race. It qualified at 392 mph, and was thought to capable of close to 500 mph, but ill luck forced it out.
