Guess what??? Vector graphics don't involve DPI!!!!!! Even if I rescale a 1/300 model to 1/1, the quality is still the same.....lol........It's all based on mathematics.

but.....if i want to export some parts from the 1:50 file with 200DPI to the 1:50 scale file with 300DPI, the outcome on the 300DPI file will be that the new parts will looks smaller because of the DPI.
so if we want to export parts from file to file with different scale and with different DPI the problem will be worst.

so that, my claim is only about when we want to chang scale when we import or export from file to file.
i hope i am more understood now.
So when you extract the 200dpi parts you must first enlarge them by 150% (increasing their bit size by 225%) before you import them into the 300dpi image where they will now appear at the correct size.

when i am working with models, first, i verifies that all the files are in the same DPI.........i am using 300DPI for all my models.
if they are not the same DPI, i convert the files to 300DPI with the photoshop and then i start working on them or import/export from file to file when i need to.

the photoshop convert DPI to another DPI automatically, so i don't have to calculate anything.
after that i am using an automatic scale-calculator to calculate scale changing.

today, all my 1:30 and 1:50 models are in 300DPI, so there is no problem when i want to convert scales or to attach parts from file to file.

Exactly.
Our language and technique may be a bit different, but we are doing the same things.

you are ubsolutly right.

another important thing:
at the end, when i am building the white prototype, i measure the model and make sure the length is right to scale i work with, by Compare it to the real length of the real plane, if not, i increases or decreases the files as i needed.

Yeah, That's my issue with bitmap files that aren't contained in a pdf. I never know how to print them.

Pdf files stating a scale ? No issue, whether they're bitmaps or vectors. But jpeg, gif, png and bmp are a problem for me as I never if the settings I use are the correct ones and that's because of the DPI.
