Not a build...

But a request. I am searching for a Boeing Model 1 or 2. I just need a Boeing from prior to 1919.

I, have been unsuccessful in finding a kit. Does anyone know of one?

Thanks!!

The only one I've seen is one of those extremely high priced wooden models
Vintage: B & W Seaplane at JoePilot.com
If anyone can find (or create) one I'd certainly buy one.

Somebody apparently designed a paper model back 2008 or so (or at least it looked like a paper model). Here's a link to the site > check if you can still reach the builder/designer.

B&W Seaplane 1919 NZ Flying School | Wings Over New Zealand

And here's a link to some plans that might get you started if you plan to build it from scratch:

Yeah, that's Contour Creative's model. They sell in Ecards and on their own website at By Air Classique - Aircraft Models, New Zealand and World Postcards.

I never saw that Boeing though. Perhaps they never released it?

But a scratch build using those plans Ray...it would rival your Fokker .

Yes Robert, I see it now on their list. Not in production though. Maybe Ray could contact them via eCards and see what happens. Those plans I attached are for a stick and tissue plane and not accurate enough for a scale model. Left accidentally the smiley away from my first post. Ooopps...

By the Ooopps... I only mentioned the latter part of my first post (link to those plans) - a smiley would have explained that they weren't proper ref for scratch building. And now I put my other foot to my mouth.

This post inspired me for my next model. Just now I finished designing the Boeing Model 1 but only in 1/100 scale.
I'll start building it tomorrow after work.(and hope it will work )

Very nice Bruno! It may not be the right scale, but I can enlarge it. And, if I had to,
use it as a template.
