@ Isaac - hmm, I'll settle for the external tank, only. The kit doesn't include pylons for extra ordnance, which is a bit surprising...
Frankly, my experience with "print at home" (or rather the office...) is in a laser printer. The colours look good but they are fragile at cut and flod edges. I tend to use it only for sleepers on train models, when they are not included in the kits, and little else. The external tank assembly needs no description. On the third picture, the size difference of the bombs is plainly visible! |

Halinski is always careful on the model’s structure, both on the wings and the horizontal tail stabilizer. Anyway, I found it useful to add a 0,5mm thick card bit, near the tips, as it helps to fix some angles. The movable section of the tail stabilizer is a bit more of the same.

I decided to take a break to the tail section in order to make the wheels. There is a tiny one at the back. The wheels were modeled with variable width paper strips, as I always do.

Halinski provides a beautiful design, but it still takes talent like your to bring out the best in the model. You always do splendidly clean and precise work.
Your wheels are works of art. May we see the "variable width paper strips" when you build your next model (or images of the ones you used for this P-40, if you took pre-assembly photos). Don |

@ Don –Thank you Ok, next time, I promise to take some pictures. Sometime ago, I published a simple tutorial on Kartonist. Unfortunately, the forum vanished. I can publish the same here, but with assembly pictures…
@ Isaac- we are on the same boat (or plane) regarding printing Back to the tail, the pictures show the vertical stabilizer and rudder. The paper roll on the last picture will serve to fix the wire that also serves as the rear wheel axle. |

Progressing very nicely, the wheels are indeed a work of art.

Thanks, Mike You know, Halinski has managed to make much more complex wheels on other models…
The tail assembly proved trouble-free. It is always tricky to adjust the root fillet parts but, well, I guess it is inevitable in paper. |

It's a real pleasure to see this beautifully smooth, clean work and the realism of the completed components.
