I guess I will do more of this basic design, now that I know it thoroughly.
What I would do differently:
- Test-fit the spinner of a more detailed model, so it matches the fuselage contours;
- Make the radiator air outlet threedimensional, no big deal;
- Cut off the control surfaces, place some dark grey cardboard tabs behind the cuts and re-apply the surfaces. This is "2.5 dimensional", very simple to accomplish and it adds some interest.
Once again, I can only recommend this kit to anybody interested in this classic fighter and especially those who like to compare the effects of different paint schemes on the same basic design.
But first Airdave´s model!
