Builds by Damraska
Once upon a time I built a lot of models and entered a lot of contests but that ended in 2010. For the last six years I have only dabbled in the hobby, making a go of it every six months or so but quickly losing interest. In that time I believe I worked on four card models and three went into the recycle bin. (I cut out parts for one plastic model as well but never assembled it.)
About two months ago I decided to seriously resume model building and this thread will chronicle anything I actually finish. Rather than make a thread for each project I will concentrate everything here. Since most of my models end up in the recycle bin I will studiously avoid build logs and reviews. I may occasionally post an in-progress or design picture. Last edited by Damraska; 06-18-2016 at 12:18 PM. |

Swiss Messerschmitt Bf 109 E3
Subject: Swiss Messerschmitt Bf 109 E3
Scale: 1:33 Designer: Marek Purchased From: Ecardmodels.com Direct Link: 1/33 Messerschmitt BF-109E-3 Switzerland 1944 Paper Model Over the last 6 years my eyesight and skills seriously deteriorated but with the help of a huge magnifying lamp, models in PDF format, and an excellent new printer I am once again making things. I printed this model last year, started in December or January, and finished last week. Thankfully my airbrush and compressor still work after 6 years in storage. The model comprises over 400 parts and includes a pretty good interior. I liked it so much I purchased another variant. Cheers to Marek for the fun project. Your dragon avatar grabs my attention. Is that a paper model?

That's beautiful.
My eyesight is headed downhill too, then I remembered those magnetication/circline lamps that I used back when I worked in an electronics shop. It was a great investment. |
