Since the real peacemaker has a wingspan of about 70 meters and this one is just under 1 meter, it's probably 1/72. Imagine it at 1/33!

Nicely done. Shades of Jimmy Stewart and Strategic Air Command! My favorite aircraft of all time.

Cool I just saw it

I just saw it at the USAF museum in Dayton Ohio USA.

Big beast. Too big.

Somewhere I remember reading that those big, thick, wings on B-36 gave enough lift in thin stratospheric atmosphere that the beast could out-turn fighters with their skinny little wings.
And then AA missiles made that irrelevant.

Looking at the tail plain I see echoes of earlier aircraft, the B 17 and B 29. With all that power and lift I do wonder why they did not make a good sub killer.

Got around to taking some close ups off the undercarriage. Hopefully the pics show some detail. The mains are a ply leg with a rolled paper oleo and some small dowel for the axles. The axles go through the inner wheel centre and glued to the inside of the outside wheel. The front undercarriage has a small piece of clear tube glued between the top of each wheel and the bottom of the fuselage. Hope this is clear.

The wings were 7 foot thick at the root so a mechanic could crawl out and check the engines in flight. It still lives on the workbench in the garage and gets moved out of the way when I need the bench. Thought of putting taxi lines on the bench cause its on there so much!
