Thanks, Everybody...it sure has been a pleasure thus far!

Don! I forgot to tell you but the paper weight is the 65 or 67 lb. from Office Depot. I also ordered some of the same in A4 on-line so that's the weight of all my stuff I've done thus far. Seems a pretty good thickness except for super small tubes etc. (guns, maybe 1/72nd exhausts...) so I just use plain old typing paper for those.

Now I feel really dumb. I think that question was for my R. E. 8. It's still my final answer...;-)

More today,
Dan

A tad more...other wing base is on and then I couldn't wait to see if the wing tips fit. Surprise, surprise...they do. I am toying with adding a bit more spar in there, but we'll see. Next will be the nacelles and landing gear!

Okay...last one for tonight. I got the nacelles on and they look much, much better than my B-24. I got a much better seam between the nacelles and wing leading edge. I'm pleased!

I'll attempt to at least finish the cowlings/engines tomorrow. Looking slick so far, though....Dan

Outstanding work, Dan! I wish I could achieve those smooth results.

Thanks for the answer on the paper. Clearly, the paper you are using is working perfectly. I previously printed out the first sheet of this model on 67#, but I think if I actually try to build it, I will use 44lb Epson Premium Presentation Paper Matte, which Rick Steffers put me on to.

This is looking fantastic so far! I may have to get one of these myself. What percentage did you reduce the original PDF to print it at 1/72 scale?

Nice work on the wings and nacelles. I’ve always wanted to go to Norway. I hope you enjoy your trip. And if you make it to Bygland, be sure to take and share some photos.

The reduction for 1/72 scale is 67%.

CD...the model is so nice...that reduction is even printed on the plans so it's easy!

Get one of these. I think I need to purchase Tinkertoy next...

Cheers and thanks for the interest.

Finally started the cowlings and engines. I was a little dubious of how it all fit together so I made one as a check. I needn't have been worried...

I think I'll make some tabs to allow a more flush look on the other three, but man! It's really coming together. Putting on the wing tips helped a lot too.

Thanks for looking (and thanks for designing this model, John!).

Dan
