Just a comment regarding this thread, although I have not progressed on this illustrated version it is because so many changes have taken place with the drawings while building this model that I decided to bite the bullet and build another one. It will take me a couple days to reach this point in the build, so if you have been following there is more progress happening than illustrated here...in fact I'm pretty happy with the design now... This time I'm spraying the paper parts with krylon clear which also deepened the color pleasingly..

Lets see, I think some additional construction pics may be useful,
if I can remember where this was left off,
some pictures of the box section of hull, I decided to remove the corners of the box as would dent the skin a bit otherwise, although does fit, and spent some time dry fitting the box to see how it goes, and with the edges up a bit put some glue on the edge and glue one edge. Then pry up the other side a little and put some glue on that side, then was pretty solid.

Float construction. The circular mark on the mid float is to represent the mirror the pilot can see his gear with, so is on the fuselage side of float when on. I made the struts over a thin wire for strength but also with a bit of wire protruding also to insert into the float and wing at the oval markings

On this second one I decided to leave off the simple "engine" to glue the nacelles on the wing, (I used hot glue from the inside of the nacelle and held in place for a bit) the wing when angled slides without too much trouble into place.
the exhaust parts, the forward and aft parts are flattened a bit especially the aft part to bend easily
