Murph’s Models Navion

I am very happy to have had this experience; thank you Murph’s models. Many thanks.

Printed Murph’s Army Navion parts pages on Wausau 60Lb Exact Digital
however, I suggest using heavier stock for this 14 and 3/4 inche size wingspan.
My build had a sag at the fuselage center bottom wing join so a cardboard strip was installed and a paper strip cover added.

Build was completely wrap around ; no wing spar/ribs or fuselage bulkheads for landing gear attach points. Therefore, I used drilled out dowels glued into the wings and fuselage nose. This allows for adjusting the length of wood tooth pics so that the wing tips are same distance above ground surface before gluing.

Stained glass leading was added into the nose wheel and fuselage nose so that the model would not be a tail sitter.

The Navion was given several coats of Krylon rattle can Acrylic clear gloss and photographed before dry.

It looks terrific! A beautiful build.

I have a few of Murph's Navions and look forward to building them. Your build is a real inspiration. I like your solution to a sturdy landing gear.

Nice Navion. I can remember during my younger days when those were common sites on airfields every where.

Your build of Murph's Navion turned out well Bob. Thanks for sharing the results and the commentary'

Beautiful model but unfortunately, it has some little inaccuracies such as the cabin windows shape. Please note. Murph's SeaBee is in my opinion his most accurate private plane although it has some structural flaws. The Navion can be easily corrected.
