I decided to fix the landing gear in the extended position. The retract sequence was for photo purpose only However, using my design, you can have a retractable landing gear . You will then need to line up and pivot the doors as well . Isaac

Nose gear
The nose gear of this aircraft is very elegant. Long, lanky and lots of parts.
Here it is assembled and installed. On gear Isaac

Looks great Isaac. Is the front part of the landing gear a paper clip?
Thanks, Gary

Also, I use paper clips for actuators and other thin round pieces as needed. Isaac

Landing gear comparison
I wanted to share here the differences between the actual F-84F nose gear ( picture I took at the USAF museum in Dayton Ohio ) and the kit nose gear.
There is obvious similarity, but too many differences as well. As our hobby evolves and improves, I hope that designers take the time to look over the details and be more involved in the subject matter they are trying to create in small scale. Isaac

The differences are quite noticeable, thanks for pointing that out. A hint for when I start.

Thanks for the explanation about the landing gear When the gear axle is set at an angle to the aircraft longitudinal axle (as is the case here), strange angles develop during the retraction process. On the real thing, hinges and hydraulics can take care of those angles. On paper, it would be far too fragile to make exactly the same.

The difference between the real front landing gear and the landing gear of the model is noticeable.
and I do not think that the designer of the model has planned differently so that the paper landing gear can not be fragile. it is simply not paying attention to the real thing, whether because of a lack of discernment or lack of web images ... What I think Which is now full of pictures from every angle. More than once, I came across models in which planners took creative freedom and added or removed parts that are very noticeable in the plane. For example... without mentioning the name of a company, there is a F-4E phantom, the planner decided to add a narrow and long strip that cover the connection between the body and the wing base .... In reality it does not exist. Sometimes I encounter ejection seats that are not related to the model they represent. so why they dot that ??? YOAV |
