Mirage 3C- Yoav model 1/30 scale

I finished the model in its current form.

Only item left is the center fuel drop tank which will be added later on. More info on that later.

Here it is on the work table.


Observation:
- This model is of average complexity and can be easily built using the construction photos that Yoav provided. There is nothing complicated here. Also, you may alter the sequence of building and still get good results. So there is no my way or nothing here. You can work it anyway you wish.

- The graphics is superb and all the parts fit well. You should pay attention to the two paint schemes provided in the kit and select the parts for one or the other ( same aircraft, but the nose has additional kill marking and a longer black section as an option ). If you really pay attention to details, you have options here. Also, Yoav and Yaron are active members on this forum and chime in with suggestions and improvements if you wish.

- You can build it in a flying configuration or modify with parts that Yaron provided.

- lastly, once you complete the Mirage, the next logical model is the Kfir which has almost identical building construction and is available in the overall grey color that Yoav painted, or the camouflaged versions that Yaron repainted ( that is next build for me ).

That concludes the last completed build of 2018 and my second build in Ohio since my return from Canada.

Here is a little comparison to the Hobby Model Kfir kit in 1/33 scale I built in 2012 while in Japan. The Hobby Model Kfir kit was a low quality, poor fit and full of errors. It that was repainted a bit and is smaller in scale to the Mirage.

next is the Kfir C7. After that will see ( there is the F-15A, A-4F Skyhawk, Tzukit ( Fouga Magister ) and the Ouragan in my "to be built parking lot".

In Israel there are some that have built some of my models...But most was Ron Persky.
My friend Ron Persky already has 7 out of 9 of my models.

In this forum, besides you, I know that Eric, Chris , Kim and Shraga have built one model from my collection 1:30 scale.
Excuse me if i forget someone.


Josef, already built 2....F-4E and MIRAGE.

There is another builder, i think from Spain, who already has 3 models...KFIR, MIRAGE and F-4E

And I saw another one from Poland or Germany who has 2...KFIR and MIRAGE.

all the others i know, built 1 model from my collection....so there are many.
