Well friends, another small project outside the original list, manipulating more recent models from Bruno's catalog, including the revamps of the F-84G and F and the Sabre Dog, I chose models in the colors of the Helenic Air Force, in a triple assembly.


Bruno made a beautiful redesign of these models including new versions, with the exception of the F-86D which is a more recent model in the catalog.


The fuselage of the F-84 both the G and F versions are relatively simple to build, a little more complicated is the F which has a transition from circular to oval sections. The fuselage of the F-86D seems to me to be more complicated even though the construction of this third one hasn't started yet.

Well friends continuing with our quick Hellenic trilogy, today was the day to build the Sabredog fuselage, by far the most complex so far, this is due to the trapezoidal cross sections with many curves in transition and the nose set you have a double curvature in the air intake, in the next with a better result, although despite the difficulties, I was satisfied with the result.

After a while, I started building each plane individually, we started with the F-84G Thunderjet. All general construction of the plane was done, the biggest difficulties are gluing the wings due to the small gluing area and maintaining the dihedral of the same. I started building the wing tanks and now I have to start building the F-84F Thunderstreak...

We are forwarding the end of the construction of the first Hellenic fighter. Republic F-84G Thunderjet, in the last section we built the wing tip and sub-wing tanks, as well as the landing gear without any major problems.

Here the finished model, this is one of Bruno's most recent releases, one of the "revamps" of the F-84, second generation model. The general construction is excellent and this Greek scheme chosen by Bruno showed excellent and quite attractive.

Few modifications were made to the original model, I laminated the wheels with cardboard and also the internal reinforcements of the wings.

The model is for sale at Ecardmodels and is highly recommended.

In Bruno's catalog the F-84G of the Hellenic Air Force is number: # 3415.
