The first Nie-42C1 finished is a Armeé de l' Air machine represent a Nº 23 production aircraft allocated in 5 Escadrille, 34 RAM (SPA31) with military registration R-354 in Le Bouguet 1930.

The second NiD 42, the Spanish specimen was the only one exported in 1931 by Nieuport Astra and was evaluated by the Spanish Air Army at Cuatro Ventos. Spain Governement that was impressed enough to purchase a manufacturing license of an improved type that would become Hispano (Nieuport Delage) NiD 52. The sole NiD 42 was incorporated in a experimental squadron and use with Nie 29 fighters.

This painting really draws attention, this leaf green was common in French military airplanes with many variations of shades until 1938. The French also call it emerald green (vert ermellite). About Fleet oh yes please my friend! |
