Well friends here is my SH-34 finished in the colors of the Brazilian Naval Aviation. The model represents one of the five Seabat/Seahorse that the Brazilian Navy operated between the 60s and 70s aboard the aircraft carrier NAeL Minas Gerais by the HS-1 Pelicano squadron in anti-submarine operations.
More information and pics by use in Brazilian Navy look my Brazilian Military Planes in 1/100. The model of the SH-34 in the colors of the Brazilian navy is the number #3868 in the Scissors and Planes catalog. My model is modified with some additional details in the paintwork and also small details like winch, antennas and pitot tube. I will certainly build a few more from the H-34 family. |

Fast Project - El Salvador Ouragan
Well friends.
After a certain hiatus, for personal and professional reasons, we came back with a model of quick execution. The Dassault Ouragan, this is the third model I've built on this subject. The decoration is one of the most exotic and unknown, it is one of the handful of Ouragans sold by Israel to El Salvador in the 70s and which were used in combat. In the next posts I will include a brief history of this curious Latin American operator of this classic from the beginning of the jet age. Updates soon. |

Model Finished
The Dassault MD-450 Ouragan, a French day fighter from the 1950s, which marks the resurgence of that country's aviation industry in the postwar period. Developed around the Rolls Royce Nene turbine in 1949, the Ouragan was used extensively in combat by Israel in the Suez War and by El Salvador in its civil war in the 1970s/80s. The model represents just one of 13 planes El Salvador acquired to be rearmed after the infamous 1969 Football War. With a US-imposed arms embargo, El Salvador bought second-hand Israel's remaining Ouragans that were reconditioned and modernized to fire. AA AIM-9C Sidewinder missiles. Acting as fighter-bombers in the civil war that swept the country between the late 70s and early 80s, they operated to the limit, leaving only one unit at the end of the Conflict. No Salvadoran Ouragan was alike in terms of color schemes. Being the small country of Central America the last operator of this classic Dassault plane.
I made small modifications to the model, including the addition of the wing fillets, the addition of small antennas and the AIM-9C comes from a set that Bruno himself made of several generations of the AIM-9 in scale with its respective rail. El Salvador's Ouragan is the number #2019 in the catalog. Is my third Ouragan Nice model to build, fast and easy. |

Thank you for sharing this relatively unknown version of this plane.
I always am interested in obscure subjects, and if it is from Latin-American, even more. |

Thanks my friend! Me too. Bruno offer many versions of classic subjects in "esoteric" colors.
