I looked into it and there was only one paper model of it made by jb models.

Member here eatcrow2 presented the build of it about 10 years ago. I think JB models is gone. eatcrow2 hasn't posted anything in over a year too.

Smile 2021 Retrospective

Hello friends!

Firstly an excellent 2022 for everyone with great health, peace, prosperity and happiness. (We deserve it) I leave a retrospective of my constructions of Scissors and Planes. More than 30 models among the originals, repaints, mods and my repaints. Although it was a terrible year because of COVID (as it was 2020 too) in the field of modeling it was cool.

Smile Return of Judy

After a well-deserved break due to the gastronomic exaggerations of the new night, we returned to the construction of the D4Y2, in fact it is a very simple model to be built, ironically it is a 2020 dejavu, because at that time even before the COVID pandemic, the D4Y3 was the first model of that year finalized exactly also between the 1st and 2nd of January. This is the second model in the Midway series, I decided that everyone will have a base, as this year we have plans (my modeling group) to exhibit our work at IPMS Uruguay in Montevideo (possibly in September), of course if we have a refreshment at pandemic, so I plan to make a display about the Battle of Midway. The base was glued with fluid PVA glue to a very hard paperboard.

Smile Battle of Midway Project (2)

Well friends here is my repaint of the D4Y2-1C, based on model #3105 in Bruno's catalogue. besides the repaint few additions like antennas and the tube-shaped sight. A nice and quick model to make. I also inform you that this repaint will soon be available at Ecardmodels.

These are great! I've just downloaded Scissorsandplanes collection which he has very graciously made available to us - many thanks.

This has inspired me to attempt these models myself, although I am usually a maker of model buildings I have made many small models so hopefully that will help!

Again, superb models and respects to the designer!

Rob

Smile Condor Syndikat

Well friends, I want to share another project that is starting to be born for this 2022. It is about using Bruno's models (notably the Ju-52, Junkers F-13 and the Dornier Wal) to reproduce the planes of the Sindicato Condor (Condor Syndikat) in operation in Brazil in the 1930s.

This airline was founded as a subsidiary of Deustche Lufthansa in 1927 and literally operated throughout Latin America, winning competition mainly from the French, through Aeropostale. The advent of the Junkers 52, which is resistant, reliable and simple to maintain, was decisive for the Sindicato Condor to dominate air routes in Brazil, including creating airport infrastructure with radio beacons throughout Latin America. At the end of the 1930s, the four-engine FW-200s came to operate in Brazil. From the various branches of Condor with World War II and the declaration of war in many Latin American countries to the Axis, many were nationalized, giving rise to several airlines such as Cruzeiro do Sul in Brazil and Loyd Aereo Boliviano in Boliva, for example.

The idea is to repaint the Ju-52 model (catalogue number 823) and also convert it to hydroplane with pontoons, just like the Junkers F13 (catalogue number 1433). The Dornier Wal is the one that will demand a deeper conversion in its fuselage and it is in itself a theme that allows for many variations (who knows), in Bruno's catalog it is mentioned in number 1460.

The forecast is to start repainting on my vacation in February.

Like other of my undated repaints to be available, I like to test them out before making them available on Ecardmodels.
