Thank you my friends! It certainly won't be the last F-14, the next one should be an F-14 from VF-84. And what an amazing story Don! Years ago, the USS Nimitz was in the port of Rio Grande here in southern Brazil, we traveled 300Km to see the ship and its F-14s, I remember that many exercises were done with the FAB and the naval pilots had some difficulty in carrying out interceptions old fashioned way with the F-14 over the F-5 Tiger II. It was a memorable day.

Due to the World Cup, although I am not following the football matches (I didn't even see the Brazilian team) I was surprised that the Moroccan football team reached the semifinals of the event. For this reason, in marathon mode, I built the MiG-17, another repaint in the colors of the Royal Moroccan Air Force, using my mods already used in other MiG-17 repaints that I have already demonstrated here. My expectation is to finish the model on Monday.

With some delay, here is the MiG-17 of the Royal Air Force of Morocco.
Following the fun of building aircraft for the semi-finalists of the Football World Cup. I heard that Morocco was eliminated and that the grand final will be between France and Argentina, well in this case we are going to the Argentine model and later to the French one. I've already talked about the MiG-17 here, the model of the Royal Air Force of Morocco is a repaint made by me with the adaptations and customizations already mentioned on other occasions. Morocco created its air force under French supervision in 1956 and in fact its first official name is Sherifian Royal Aviation (Aviation Royale Chérifienne) later Royal Air Force. Morocco used its MiG-17s in the Yom Kippur War as part of the Arab coalition led by Egypt and also in the so-called "Sand War" an unknown border conflict between Morocco and Algeria in 1963. Soviet influence in Morocco was short-lived, and soon the Moroccans began to acquire military equipment from the US and other western nations, mainly France, which maintained its influence in the region over the years to a certain extent. Bruno's MiG-17 is a second generation model and the original is catalog number #395. The MiG-15/19/17/21 is almost an endless subject. |
