Leaving culinary and barbecue matters aside, let's get back to the main thing: our modeling.

I currently have four models in progress: The Breguet 14, started last year, Airco DH-9, Mil Mi-1 and Machi MC-202.

Let's detail the status of each model:

Breguet 14: Model started in 2023, it falls within my Brazilian Military Aviation cycle, although it is a subject that does not belong to the Brazilian armed forces. This model is one step away from going to the wing assembly jig, as 90% of the parts are built. Last week I built the top wing and small parts.

DH-9: The Puma-powered DH-9 in the colors of the Bolivian Air Force. The first of many DH-9s, this one is particularly special, because Bruno designed the first plane that saw action in the Chaco War. Currently the model is about 30% complete with some parts already built.

Mil Mi-1: One of the first practical helicopters produced in series in the Soviet Union, continuing within my free themes, but relatively oriented towards a "Soviet" series (may change), the model is only about 20% ready, with the parts laminated and cut and the Main rotor blades built.

MC-202: A repaint and mod of Rata, the model has 60% of its parts built, my expectation is that this will be the first model on this assembly line to be completed next weekend.

Three interesting and good-looking models. I am particularly interested in the Bolivian DH-9.

Oh good, glad to hear I'm not the only one who has at least three kits on the go at any given time!

Thank you Don. In fact, the DH-9 with different engines, along with the SVA-5/10, was perhaps one of the longest-lasting Allied planes of the First World War, an honorable mention to the NiD-29, but it arrived too late in the conflict and the Fokker DVII that was retired from the Swiss Army Air Force in the early 1930s. The Bolivian DH-9 saw combat, but as I build the model I will add more data.

In fact, I have five or six projects at the same time. Obviously walking at different speeds.

Thank you my friend! I hope I don't disappoint. Tonight I work especially on Breguet XIV.

Hello everybody!

Last Thursday night, we had the first CCCP meeting of 2024. We caught up on December's issues, and with cold beer we worked at our workbenches.

I started the Percival Provost project, a simple and fun model to build that was almost ready during the meeting.

As I brought the model home, I will probably finish it this weekend together with the Machi MC-202.

Still working on my African project, I recently purchased the book Migs in the Middle East: Volume 1: The First 10 Years, 1955-1967 on Amazon, this collection from Helion & Company I really like, I have many volumes both on Kindle and physical. I saw some Il-28s that were quite simple to repaint and the temptation overcame me. Written by David Nicolle and Tom Cooper, it covers the beginning of the deployment of Soviet combat aircraft in the Middle East between the 1950s and 1960s.

The repaint made in Inkscape of the Il-28 mod by Rata, represents an Il-28 in the colors of the Egyptian Air Force during the Suez crisis in 1956.

If anyone is interested in purchasing the book, follow the link, a good source for lovers of the MiG-15/17/19 (and 21F).

Hello friends!

I've had little time to work with modeling, it's the season and the summer has been hot in Brazil, so I've spent little time at the workbench.

But the completion of the first model of 2024 is approaching, the Percival Provost in the colors of the Irish Air Force, the final assembly was done at home but this was a model from the CCCP collective workshop.

My expectation is to finish the model tonight.

The other models are in different stages of construction, I believe the next one will be the MC-202.
