Follow the schedule holidays (my plan using the days of Christmas and new year holidays) is make a five or six Bruno and derivatives models, at the moment is a third (maybe I not completed the mission, but...)




The first change of blade in the new year, my favorite is a #11 scalpel (I use a surgical scalpel, more cheap and easy to find), note the blade dispenser a plastic container, with box full I gluing the top with CA and dispense in appropriate recycle trash, this measure is for prevent injuries in trash workers...
















I start of Rata Cowling the first versions of I-16 have a clean cowling, I use my methods describe on D4Y build, the only change is made a dual curvature in external ring of cowling, for this I use a ovaloid shape sculping tool. The spinner I use a stamping technique, which consists of pressing the conical piece against an eraser to acquire the proper shape. That's what we did with the I-16 spinner. The piece formed looked like a Vietnamese hat, as it became more rounded, more realistic ...

I start the gluing of fuselage but a align issue show...





I stoped the build and fix the file on Inkscape, is easy, but stoped the build. I hope tonight I resume...

I fix the serial number in Inkscape, is a eyeball adjustament I hope work...

Hello my friends! I'm back with some advances...

I print another set of Polikarpovswith correct position of serial number, The fuselage with a spine is a hard task to make.

My solution is manufacture a "soul" with heavy cardboard and sand with a electric tool to insert inside a spine to keep the form and helping the glue...



I-16 and a "intruder"...













Sequence of fuselage build, not easy to make a I-16 shape without formers because the integrate spine...

With fuselage complete I'm cutting the wings, wings fillets, and laminate several pieces...





My expectative is finish the model tomorrow...
