About Barbecue is one of way more close to north-american style (and in fact more fast), in my state in Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul) is more common roast the meat on skewers.

In this weekend I turning build in I-16, I like a lot build this model, apart the difficult to made a fuselage because a integrate spine is very easy to make...

Make the Wings in spatula former, the chord in I-16 is not constant, because this only top of wing are round...

The installation of wing former in this case is very necessary, in general I like laminate with 240gsm cardboard and cut off the tabs...

Wings installed

I started the build on wing fillets, after try ways to build this piece, in this case is better start the gluing of back, not for a front (not use the pic for reference)

The results at the moment and everything to finish I-16...

Build of tail, not surprises to made this step, I use the techniques described in previous build, the most difficult part to build a vertical tail fillet, because the small size of piece...

The results at the moment...

Continue the work on I-16, now is time to install the small parts...

The canopy is very tiny, but easy to form and build, I have difficult to get focus in my smartphone camera...

Canopy installed

Time to make another form to made cylinders, I like with cylinders with layers for represent hydraulics systems. For roll I use a quilling roll tool, fist a rounder with a need for crack the paper fiber and after I put in the tool for make a strong roll, the gluing is make section by section of roll...

Legs in the place...

I cutting laminate actuator of undercarriage, in this case I like use a new #11 scalpel, I made two cuts for section for not deform or rope the piece...

The ski tailwheel is laminate with 120 gsm paper...

All undercarriage components are installed, missing the doors (I need a separate each door)

The results at the moment...

My expectative is finish today (I hope)...

Resume the building on Polikarpov I-16

The final steps...

For better gluing is recommended separate each door of undercarriage...

The extra details is made a pipes of machine guns, starter key on spinner and a brace support in tubular gunsight with a tiny (micro) scrap paper...

Close in extra details, made with 240 gsm cardboard and after painted...

Details in the doors and retraction cables made with wire...
