The build have my traditional methods to improve the construction, in the main floats I use color butt straps made with 56gsm paper for replace gluing tabs... |

Nice WIP!! Fortunately my version for the Fuerza Aérea Mexicana doesn't has floats. It's the terrestrial, land based version. Waiting to see the fuselage and wings assembly. Regards,Tony.

Just caught up with your Chipmunk builds Péricles. They turned out nice.
Good luck with the OS2U. I've done two of Bruno's other versions (float and land) and know this model goes together nicely. The small outrigger floats are tricky though.....

Resuming the Kingfisher assembly, I made some improvements to make the results a little more realistic.
I started the construction of the wings by making a reinforcement to glue the internal support lintels, I added a fire wall on the cownling, well with the gear box made with 120 gsm painted paper in engine face ( I back 4 mm the engine)... The wings and horizontal stabilizers fit very well and have been placed in their places glued with UHU general purpose glue. I added some more details like the propeller hub and started to build an add-on made by friend Hawkman67: a trailer undercarriage. Although some considerable details are still missing, I hope in the next update to show the finished model. |
