Smile My version of Ki-51 Sonia

In Brazil, there is still a lack of definition regarding shutdown because of CONVID-19, we are not here yet in restriction because the epidemic has not yet started, but I believe that next week they will start. In the meantime, I will continue with the programming of the Scissors and Planes Models and derivatives. This time I chose one of my repaints to build. One of the versions of the Mitsubishi Ki-51 Sonia. The construction is still preliminary, all the pieces have been cut and I am choosing shades to cover the corners and also laminating some pieces that need reinforcement. As always my assistant Frederico is always present accompanying the projects.

Well friends, after a long time I went back to the CCCP meetings. But ironically despite the pictures being joking, it was the last face-to-face meeting, since the club's activities were suspended indefinitely due to the pandemic virus covid 19. I started a Dewoitine D520 repainted by Brent where the pre-assemblies were all prepared. At home I am quarantined although I am neither sick nor anyone in my family sick and working from homeoffice, in this situation I started following the schedule the Mitsubishi Ki-51 Sonia, repainted by me ...

CCCP Meeting:

Ki-51 WIP

I open part of gunner position and painted the interior, the same task I made in inner ring cownling tip...

Tonight more updates...

Resuming work on my Ki-51 Sonia repaint, is time to build central wing section and canopy.

I use my usual method for build with a internal braces laminated with heavy cardboard. The wings fillets is attached later but need many adjust to fit in the fuselage wall and base of wing...

The canopy fit very well I use for gluing butt straps with 056 gsm paper...

Tomorrow more updates...

That's a beautiful model of a Ki-51, which is a really good-looking airplane to my eye anyway.

I agree with Don.
Great work so far and I'll be definitely waiting to see this one finished.

It looks great Pericles! Here we are no longer going out, only to the pharmacy and to groceries. More time for the hobby, although the news of the world situation has me depressed and with little desire to build.
